A.K.A. Pit Gravel or Bank Stone

Pit run is a type of unmanufactured gravel which is dug out of the bank of a sand/gravel pit. Hence the name PIT RUN! Pit run is usually comprised of rocks up to 12″, but typically 6″ or less and is used as the base layer of gravel for roads and driveways and should be placed in layers 12″ thick or more.

Here at Marc Lafreniere Construction we pride ourselves on offering the highest quality materials available. As such, we go the extra mile to offer two types of Pit run (Standard and modified) to ensure that you are getting the right material for your specific project needs. Standard pit run is as described above, but “modified” has been ran through our screening process to ensure our customers no over sized rocks.
